America's Army is an official game that is endorsed by the United States Army. It is now in its third edition, so a lot of improvements and upgrades have been made to make gameplay even better.
As a first-person shooter game, this program includes training modes and online gameplay. You can start with the training session, which is a good way to get practice and to acquire more and better equipment. It is optional, however, so if you want to get started with playing right away, you can skip it.
Although it is a bit simpler than many of the other first-person shooter games that you have probably played, it does provide a great experience. The online, multi-player games require players to work together, which is a bit unique from some of the other similar games that are out there. This game doesn't allow re-spawning, which makes for a more realistic, although slightly more frustrating game. There are five different maps that you can play when doing multi-player missions, and gameplay can be very exciting and realistic.
Unfortunately, the graphics on this game aren't as good as some of the other games that are out there, and America's Army doesn't focus on the same level of glamor or drama as soon as other similar programs. Even though you might not be overly impressed with the graphics, you should know that changes have been made in the most recent version, and the graphics are better than they were in previous versions. If you're looking for a fun and slightly unique game, you're sure to enjoy it.
Pros
Gameplay is realistic.
It's a very intense first-person shooter.
It's unique from many other similar games that are out there.
There are lots of training missions that allow you to acquire additional equipment.
There are five maps for you to choose from if you're playing a multi-player game.
Cons
Because of a lack of re-spawning, you might have to wait for extended time periods when playing online.
The graphics are not very impressive, but they have improved over previous versions.
